Personally, I think that you need to diet healthily, and cutting out a whole food group isn’t going to suit everyone. It gets some people the results that they desire, yet it’s not a guidline that all women should be encouraged to follow, because we all live in different cultures and environments. I just try to make sure I don’t snack on biscuits (instead I have the occasional handful of nuts!). When I really wanted to lose weight (trust me, I needed to), my mother showed me a detox she did 6 months prior to marrying my father to “get into shape” – and it consists of having a thick lentil soup with rice for lunch and dinner, with fruit throughout the day, and tea with toast and cereal in the morning. To me, it didn’t feel restraining and I ended up losing alot of weight, and people saw the results before I did.

Do you have any personal, family diets or plans that you love/loved to follow and got you the results you wanted?
