I’m having some troubles falling asleep and sleeping well these weeks. I know that we’re not supposed to drink coffee and tea before going to bed because it doesn’t help you sleeping, but are we “allowed” to drink green tea or is it as bad as other teas?

the problem would be the caffeine. try drinking teas that are naturally caffeine-free, or low in caffeine—like herbal or white teas. rooibos is my tea of choice.

Like TightsandTea said, the problem is probably because it contains caffeine. In my experience, though, I’ve known people to react to green tea in different ways. My boss had switched to green tea instead of coffee, because it has less caffeine, but it gave her heart palpitations! So it’s possible that it might be specifically the green tea that’s effecting you. In my opinion, I would just stay clear of anything with caffeine or too much sugar, which can also make it hard to sleep.

As far as I know, all types of tea harm your sleep, but black tea is the worst of the them.
