Summer is a time when carrying out daily activities becomes difficult. There are lots of people who fail to continue with their regular workout program after spending long tiring day at the office. Many people put a pause going to gym and become unmotivated regarding their health and fitness. So here are some simple and most effective ways that can help bringing you good health to a great extent and most importantly all these ways can be tried out at home, even at office and at the time of watching television as well with no difficulty.
On the Go
• Take stairs instead of the elevator. (58 calories in 10 minutes)
• Dance wildly and madly at a club or concert. (375 calories per hour)
Change your Lifestyle a Little Bit
• Stick to green tea.
• Sleep 8-10 hours.
• Avoid skipping meals.
• Prefer lighter meals especially at night.

Activities that You can Perform at Home
• Do some household work such as sweeping, cleaning for 30 minutes. This will help you burn 200 calories.
• Jumping rope for two-minute intervals and four times repetitions of this can burn up to 111 calories.
• Do some squats. Start with 10 squats and increase doing 5 every day for one month. To calculate: (your weight in lbs) x (.096) = ( calories burned per min) x (total time you worked out) = calories burned.
• Stretching and performing Yoga for 20 minutes get you rid of 100 calories.
Activities While Watching TV
• Walk on treadmill while watching your favorite movies or TV shows.
• Sit on an exercise ball and perfrom one minute of ab curls. Repeat it four times.
• Take advantage of the commercial break. You can burn up to 90 calories by running up and down the stairs of your home at that break time. Do two sets for 5 minutes each.
Things that can be Done at Office
• Avoid sticking to one place for long hours.
• Do not maintain a same posture for long.
• Get your body moving in the office at least for 40 minutes per day as this will help you reduce 119 calories out of your body, by involving in some sort of activities that include walking while talking over phone, taking frequent breaks and utilize it by moving around and so on.
• 350 calories can be burned by tapping your feet and twiddling throughout the day while sitting on your office chair.
• Use a balance ball instead of your office chair. It will strengthen your core and back muscles. It can burn up to 38 calories per hour.
